NFL Draft Preview | C.J. Perez and Geoff Mosher Join The Farzy Show | 4/27

Farzy is back again with a new episode of The Farzy Show with Marc Farzetta discussing the Philadelphia Eagles’ NFL Draft rumors, joined by Geoff Mosher of Inside the Birds. But that’s not all Philly Sports fans; Marc has a second guest in NFL Draft Prospect C.J. Perez, OL, Temple University.

Starting off the show, the Philadelphia Phillies took another victory from the Colorado Rockies, winning 10-3. The Phils bats continue to heat up in this series, but there are concerns with the newly signed free agent, Kyle Schwarber’s average, and on-base percentage early on in the season. In this case, patience will be a virtue and a reward when Schwarber inevitably puts everything together.

The other point of controversy in the Phils organization sent down Bryson Stott after a rough start to the season. It is hard to get everyday playing time when Alec Bohm, Johan Camargo, and Didi Gregorius are hitting the cover off the ball. In Baseball, anything can happen, so being ready to come back up will be necessary for the top prospect.

Then, on the Rothman Orthopedic Guest Line, Farzetta first talks with NFL Draft Prospect C.J. Perez, OL, Temple University. Marc and C.J. talk about combatting the “undersized” label, but Perez believes it’s an asset and a motivator on the field. Farzy compares Perez’s ability and upside to Philly’s own Jason Kelce, who has carved a HOF career out of being that impactful, “undersized” player for the Birds and has a Super Bowl ring to prove it. Perez talks about getting in a local workout with the Kansas City Chiefs, phone calls from other NFL teams, and getting good advice about the entire draft and signing process from friends and former players.

Next, Marc continues the NFL Draft discussion with Inside the Birds’ Geoff Mosher on the Rothman Orthopedic Guest Line. Farzetta and Mosher get into the dynamics of the draft and determine that this year’s draft, in particular, has a lot of variables that could shake it up for all the teams. Geoff believes the Eagles are a team that likes to go against the status quo and be bold. Hopefully, the Birds do not enter the QB race again this draft. Mosher believes the Birds will look at DL, WR, and CB in the first round, but with Howie Roseman at the helm, anything can happen in this year’s NFL Draft.

On the Steak and Main chat check-in, Marc answers all the fans’ comments and talks about Philly sports on social media. Farzy goes through the chat to find many people worrying about Doc Rivers blowing another 3-1 series lead and Howie Roseman making an awful decision on draft day. Thursday will be a great day for Philadelphia, or something will go absolutely bonkers.

Finally, on the Morning Rush, brought to you by Sky Motor Cars, the Phillies look to make it 3-in-a-row against the Colorado Rockies, with Ryan Feltner taking on Ranger Suarez on the bump for the Phightins at 6:45 pm.
